The shooter in a shock attack during an eSports tournament event has been identified.

Early reports had four fatalities, however, that number was later reduced to two.  The shooter, identified as David Katz, 24, of Baltimore, turned the gun on himself.  11 others were injured.

Katz, whose vehicle was located and impounded by investigators, is believed to have stayed somewhere locally on Saturday night before the Sunday shooting.

Eyewitnesses claim that Katz had been eliminated from the tournament prior to the shooting and "was upset".  The shooting was caught on a live stream of the Madden Sports event.

eSports has exploded in popularity over the years.  Even online sportsbooks have reported heavy betting action on various eSports events in the last year.
